After the church we were in for some major partying. First we returned to drop the car off at our hotel and while I touched up make-up Korey spotted a giant boat heading through the canal :)
Off to the Ritz for cocktail hour!! Paella, salmon and steak skewers, spanakopita, and much more were just teasers for the main meal and entrance into the Grand Ballroom.
Cheers! The bartender's rendition of my request to surprise me with something fruity. Yummy rum punch!
JAW DROPPING. The ballroom. And yes, that is a shower of orchids in the centerpieces with calla lillies. There were candles hanging from the vase and separate smaller vases with more orchids.
Menu: Sweet onion bisque with aged sherry and a crusted gruyere crisp, chicken with potatoes and sea salt and spinach (i got salmon :) )
Then it was time for "loco hour!" a tradition in Venezuela where the music changes, hats and crazy accessories are brought out for all to wear- it was amazing.
Natalie modeling her custom made flowerpot hat
Glenda in her turtle hat
