Hey friends--
I am ordering a new camera... so there will be pictures back on the web eventually :) But until then, apologies-- it is just words :)
I had a great trip to DC from Thursday through Sunday night. Stayed with Joe at his new place in C. Heights. Fletcher has a career event to help students stay connected to the job market. It is interesting to remember that Fletcher is a career focused school, which was one of the leading reasons I was so drawn to coming here. Now that the time to ramp up the career search is upon me I am grateful for the high amount of resources provided by the Fletch career center. I hope to be a) making money and b)overseas in the near future.
Friday evening Joe, Christin (his gf) and I met up with Lauren (old neighbor and good friend) and her bf Matt. Saturday Joe and I went bikeriding on a nice but windy day and then went to GoodStuff Eatery and We, the pizza two of Top Chef Spike's restaurants for lunch. I can't go to DC without getting those village fries and toasted marshmallow shake. Met up with Susan and Reagan her adorable baby girl and Meg for dinner on Saturday night. Then afterwards met up with Joe and Christin who were in Adams Morgan celebrating "Great Lakes Day" in DC, Joe's friends from Michigan were in for the event.
Sunday had some delightful down time reading NY Times and eating brunch at Dos Gringos-- where I had some fab fried plantains, coffee, and banana bread. Took the afternoon plane out to Boston and wound up volunteering for flight vouchers to take a later flight. Score!
Back to the real world now . . . a world with stats midterm coming up :)
