Last Saturdays Pop-up Play

The second half of Cormac's going away weekend was unlike anything done before in Moroto! The evening kicked off with a sundowner on the hill and then the group gathered at the Concern house for the night of festivities. First up . . . WeltHunger intern Tobias fire-twirled! It was incredible, and no small feat as he had to use heavy sticks and parafin dipped t-shirts as opposed to his lightweight sticks at home. But he managed to pull it off (of course the crowd had no clue of the additional difficulties! We were just hoping he didn't go up in flames!) It was one hell of a show! Its crazy how loud the swooshing sound of fire is!

Next on the list of surprises was a Pop-Up Play- devised by non other than Moroto producer Alastair. Because Keren and Cormac both were integral to the plays in Moroto, it was a very suitable send-off :)
Keren as she reads the manuscript . . . your stage time isn't over yet!

Tobias, in costume, readies himself for his second act of the night (and looks like Bubbs in The Wire!)

Rose gets into her lion character, although we all laughed when her "roar" was more of a "purr"
The man with the plan- Alastair- showing the script he has chosen, last act of A Midsummer's Night Dream

Front page

Complete with lights outside!

Cormac receives his first gift-- Karamoja warrior hat with feather!

And next, the beads!

The sheet

And last but not least, the shoes!

We will miss these two (sorry the pic is blurry:(
