Last week was goat distribution day with AYINET as part of the HOPE project. This project brings holistic support/services to war affected communities. All of the recipients have been deeply affected by the war. In each community there are 120 recipients receiving goats. The market is tricky! You need to get there early. It is similar to the county fair! I felt like I was in the livestock 4H section. Anyways, the town Alito is about a 1 hour motorcycle ride. I returned again yesterday for the 3rd distribution. We finally reached 120 goats, with our purchases of 35 yesterday. Here we are taping the goats with a number so that it is a lottery for the recipients so they don't fight over who gets what goat. They just draw a number :)
