Maine

400 Fletcher students/spouses descended upon Sugarloaf Mountain in Maine this past weekend for some r&r and activities. I tried my luck for the first time Cross Country Skiing. It was SUCH a workout. I enjoyed it, I didn't realize how hard it was going to be... my skiis kept crossing in the front and then I would tumble. As for the "hills" once I realized that I could sit on the back on my skiis like a sled things got a lot easier. That way I was able to keep up with a friend who was helping me to learn.
The Mountain... I never went near it, but the ski lifts were right behind our cabin.
The lodge... warm and cozy morning before leaving.

The cabins were adorable! We had a house of 4, and the family that usually vacations there is probably around 80. We jammed to the tunes of Cole Porter and enjoyed the antique decor. It was quaint :) We loved it!
Roommates Guy and Sabah figure out the cd player
Then, of course, the party on Saturday night was a great time. The Fletcher band played, and our friend Chris celebrated not only his first night in the band- but his bday as well. Complete with a cake that read, "Happy Chris". Ha. You can see we were all in good moods Saturday night.
