Crisis Mapping Haiti

I have been working this weekend on updating this website with fellow Fletcher students. It has been an incredible experience. This site is being run by PhD candidate Patrick Meier, who researches and looks at the ways to use community crisis mapping. Volunteers at the Fletcher School's Situation Room are mapping about 50% of the reports 24 hours a day. The other 50% of reports come from the Ushahidi team and volunteers around the world. Each report is first read at least once by Situation Room before being published on the map. This Ushahidi deployment represents a joint initiative with members of the International Network of Crisis Mappers (CM*Net). All this information published under Creative Commons License (Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike). Check it out, share the site with people, and explore how you can use it. If you are interested in helping search for stories (it's very easy we provide the list of resources to monitor) please let me know. We will be working on this for many, many days to come.
