This is SO good! I had been wanting to try Gwyneth Paltrow's mint spinach shake from her website Goop for over a year (scroll down to mint choc. chip shake) . . so thought it sounded like a refreshing way to get in some more veggies after dinner at Nick and Nicki's. It turned out GREAT and actually helps with a chocolate fix! I wasn't able to do the exact recipe so here is what we came up with (makes 3, serve over ice)
Half avocado
Couple spoons of hemp protein powder
10 oz. Vanilla (or unflavored) almond milk
10 oz. water
1 tsp. peppermint extract
1 tbsp. chocolate chips (put in food processor or coffee grinder)
2 giant handfuls (or up to top of blender) fresh spinach
Blend and serve over ice!
Really delish. Been trying to remember these as portion sizes of all nutrients for a healthy diet: How much is one serving
