Wash Away

I was typing a page of my thesis when this song came on and I just about broke down. There has been lots on my mind this year, nothing new there, but it is part melancholy and part fear. I am calling 2011 the "triumvirate of fear": Boston Marathon (April 18), French tests (multiple), and Thesis (Feb.15th). What gave me comfort tonight and will be my meditation for the evening as I get to sleep is the realization that I am able. For me, my family, and my friends, I can't wait to be done with the terrible-3. Thank you for always being there. No doubt, it takes a village. Reflecting on the 10-mile swim I did after my senior year in college, reminded me of the strength of my family and friends as well as the power of an idea and the courage to see it through to its conclusion. I have every reason to believe that the time that feels like it is racing by will prove to be as satisfying as the swim was. Please, enjoy the song and the pics.
