Pretty in Pittsburgh

Sunday started with watching the boys ski, but then I had to head to Pittsburgh. It was supposed to be the "easy" drive day,  but I have learned the hard way that navigating a stick shift while trying to hold & read my google map directions is recipe for failure. Suffice it to say I got to know the hills of Pittsburgh all too well. Including getting myself onto a "bus only" lane. Who knew those even existed? Well the cops informed me of said road, and allowed me to make the illegal U-turn needed to get me to the correct bridge. Oh adventures...
I stayed at an adorable place which I recommend to everyone! I went with a hunch that there are probably a lot of cool Bed and Breakfasts in an old town like Pitt. So I took my chances with The Priory Hotel. Although the area was a little sketch, it was expected given the urban location, the mansion was amazing. My room was super cute and just what I needed.

After a much needed shower I met up with Dr. Duncan, who is the new Dean of Arts & Sciences at Duquesne University. Sadly, I forgot the camera again! But you are in luck, they have a virtual tour :) It was great to see the campus and catch up with Duncan. I underestimated Pittsburgh, it seems like a very cool city.
