Mary Nohner is one of the few people I know who would open the Omaha "GO!" section and exclaim, "that looks fun!" when reading about the roller derby. But it turns out, excitement runs in the family- and sure enough Maddy and Amy also were thrilled to be going, so unless I wanted to be "that" person - I had to go! It wasn't awful, and I certainly learned a lot such as : 1) I know nothing about how this game is played 2) I had no clue there would be that many people at the stadium and 3) It does feel good to be supporting an all girls sporting event!
Nontheless, a great night out, oh yes and we stopped by a new Omaha bar, Wilson and Washburn, that was fabulous. I had the beet burger with a peanut butter glaze and jalepenos. Sounds disgusting, but it was delish! Highly recommend this new place
