So I stole this photo off my friend's Facebook page- she teaches English at an elementary school . . . and this is what a little boy chose to write about :) Classic.
Well, it sums up my weekend! It wasn't the "first" time in Moroto- and probably won't be the last! Still feeling a bit sick, but hoping it is nothing major. People catch amoebas (i.e. things that live in the water) very easily here. Cipro and the like will kill it, but you don't want to be dosing on heavy drugs if you can avoid it. I was thinking of going to the clinic, but they would require a stool sample (sorry if it's TMI) and I am sorry, I am just not at the point of sickness where I feel compelled to collect that !!
Nothing makes one miss home and friends more than feeling sick. But, it does help me feel grateful for the community of friends I have made out here who have watched out for me, brought me soup, made sure I was staying on top of fluids, and invited me to watch "Friends" Season 1-- hilarious, my Italian neighbor is obsessed.
