Furniture!

As some of you may have known, I wanted to try my luck with a new little venture idea. A side business that could "do good" while also providing an outlet/revenue for my creative side. And the idea of repurposed furniture for a cause was born. I am in the pilot phase, so decided to start small with this project below- a little girl's wardrobe made out of an old entertainment center I bargained down at a thrift store. A friend/colleague at Anthropologie is on the auction board for her girls' grade school and she said she would love any donation. Voila- we had our "cause", or just a good kick in the pants to get this beast of a bureau out of the garage! Couldn't have done it without dad and mom- who donated countless hours late at night helping me to paint, paint, glue and paint this thing to perfection.  I am off to the auction to see how it does! Fingers crossed :)

The "before" shot
My first stab at lines
Huge hot glue burn on hand was worth covering the shelves with cute fabric
Running out of painting clothes, working late into the night with garage lighting

ta-da!!! todays set up at the auction
Went on a $300 splurge at Target to get things as props:) Don't worry all tags are on!
Front shot, hardware, paint and fabric
Love!

The other side (they don't match)
Ribbons saying "Family" and "Best Friends Forever" for the perfect little photo board. The hooks hold jewelry or whatever
"Live, Laugh, Love"
Random bling, glued paper
Glued paper on shelves

Added dowel

Dad and I with the before shot.

The end!
