Cousin Kate and hubby Paul delivered their son, Rylan John Goodby, 7lbs 12 oz on Thursday Sept. 20 at 8:21pm (I think I got all my facts right!!)

The day was nervewracking, as Kate was induced in the morning, spent the day walking the halls like a trooper and Paul was her steady rock. She was awesome throughout it all, truly an inspiration. I know if it was me in those shoes I would have been a lot crankier, anxious and hungry! Who knew you can't eat at all before you are induced! That's a long-ass day without any calories! Geeze. But they were just astounding. I paced the day away at the mall, trying to channel my anxiety for kate and baby into clothes for coming home in. I knew Kate wanted some fall clothes since returning to Omaha from Arizona (brrrr is around the corner) but didn't feel like shopping with a bowling ball in her belly. So, I took it on as my mission. She can get Rylan out, and I will get her wardrobe stocked. Lol, as the labor progressed and was taking longer, I figured out soon I would need more funds and enlisted the help of my aunts :) Three boxes later, plus the books I had already gotten for the baby, and the book my brothers got : http://www.amazon.com/Go-F-Sleep-Adam-Mansbach/dp/145584165X I was ready to see the baby and couple the next day.
