Korey- Soroti, Lira, Murchison Falls!

After a wonderful trip to Soroti to visit the brother I stayed with in summer 2010, and is an inspiring lad, we went to visit Mama Santa and the rest of the family in Lira. We were also lucky to catch the student I sponsor, Emily, who is testing this week to get into the equivalent of highschool! Fingers crossed!! Although Korey loved everything (ok not EVERYTHING) he mentioned to me at the end of the whole trip that it was meeting my 2010 family that really touched him. He loved learning about their lives and getting to see their rich personalities. It was a good time! Then Sunday morning we met up with our backpack safari group for a 3 day trip to Murchison Falls. Korey has way better photos- but here is a sampling of mine. We really had an incredible time. For me it was good to begin vacay officially. Although I did have to take a conference call with a huge hippo a few feet away :)
