Hello everyone! Well, one week has gone by already! I have lots to share, but first, let's just go with the photos!

| The guys at the very modern store who helped us load the jeep with all my newly purchased belongings for the village. Here you can see my "necessities" - plastic chairs and cookies. :) |
 |
| The guys wanted another photo, this time of them goofing around apparently. |

| Our very very nice hotel. I haven't traveled this luxe in Uganda before, the restaurants, on call taxis, and hotels are top of the line. Really has been a whole new world. A couple of times I have asked, "Has this been here for awhile?" and the group says yes for years! Guess it was never part of my past itinerary . . err budget :) |

Today I had a break, and yes, I used it to sleep in until noon!! It was incredible!! We have had a very hectic schedule, and although I still stand by my decision to arrive late Sunday night and start work right away Monday (as an effort to beat jetlag/homesickness), it definitely took a toll. The team of consultants/experts have moved on to another project with Mercy Corps and I am left to my own to sleep, eat, reflect, and catch up on correspondence! I chose to return to the Emin Pasha Hotel which is a stone's throw from our hotel for my lunch/computer time. I think you will agree after these photos below that this is an ideal place for just about everything! I was so impressed with our dinner here on Tuesday, and the gardens come alive with lanterns and twinkling lights.
