I am smiling ear to ear at my desk after receiving word from my former boss at Bread for the World, Todd, had returned safely from a successful trip to Uganda. I was pleased when he reached out to me to visit Northern Uganda. In the midst of all the hub-bub that the Kony2012 campaign stirred up, Todd remained determined to make a visit during his 3 country research trip to the north. One never knows how things will turn out when traveling-- especially when the field staff are so busy with their work and have limited resources and many personal obligations. I was thrilled to receive the pictures below, of Emily, whose education I support, Jackson and Denis of AYINET with my friend Richard who I went to Fletcher with, and Victor, the head of AYINET. I am blessed to know such amazing individuals who day in and day out work to make the world a more peaceful and comfortable place to live.
