Ooops!

As many of you know, I am usually awful at sayings . . and sometimes stumble over words. Well, the other night I was dining with potential-Truman scholars (dinner the night before the day of their interviews) - a fun time to listen to what these juniors in college are up to these days. Well, in recounting some story, I said the following:

"Oh yes... and I love how self-defecating he is."

            Nope. not the right word-- Self-deprecating!!! "

Ooops. 

That is one for the record books :)
