To celebrate Dad's birthday (Monday) we spent Sunday out and about. It was a fun day and not horribly hot like it's been lately. We stopped first at the Aksarben (that's Nebraska spelled backwards for you non-Omaha folks) farmer's market.
Mitch was happy to be awake before noon ;)
The next stop was downtown to see the sandcastle contest. It was pretty neat. There were about 10 different sculptures, all kid themed.

couch potatoes
Then off to Blue Line Coffee for mom's fave salad and a shared cheese plate.
Last we stopped at the Art Fair at Countryside Village. It was decent; and then we saw the game changer- this beaut of a painting going for $275. Classic.
Off to dinner tonight to properly finish up the day of celebrating!
