This is my new Sunday song. It is pretty incredible, heard it on the radio the other day. Moby was given 2 days to put a song together, based on a picture, and then record the song and the process. It is very, very catchy and haunting.
Yesterday and today were spent packing and getting errands done. I am very lucky to have a subletter who I think is just great moving into my room for the summer. My car is packed, and as soon as I finish this Blue Moon I am off to get some sleep before my 3 day road trip.
[brothers, please note that I am not using 100% trash bags to pack! Moving up!!]
I HATE saying goodbye. It is so much more helpful knowing that I will be coming back for 1 more year. This morning I joined my friend Beth at Veggie Planet in Harvard Square for brunch. It was a very very neat place, and it was of course great to catch up with her. This is Beth who I met in Ohio doing Gulu Walk advocacy work. We stayed with the same family in Uganda, back-to-back trips, and then both moved at the same time to DC, then Boston, and now she will be starting at Fletcher in the Fall :) Party on.
[live music... so good]
[A bit of charm--help yourself coffee & water]
[Butternut Squash+Egg+Goat Cheese+Carmelized Onions]
[Tofu Scramble with butternut squash and every other goodness]
Then it was off to Bob & Jess' to see them and their adorable kids. They have grown up so much! I am truly blessed to be so close to family friends out here. The past week has reminded me that homes away from home are so very important.
Now, it's off I go- to the home of all homes. Wednesday , I will see you in Omaha.
