Omaha Fun & Happy New Year

Break in Omaha was amazing. It was exactly what the doc (Nohner) ordered. Much sleeping, many board games with the brothers, and tons of movies (thanks folks!) A fun tradition over breaks has been meeting up with Kelley Keefe. We were in high school together but different years, and have tried to keep in touch. She is doing amazing and is kicking ass in med school at UNMC. She will go far. We grabbed coffee at Sbux and chatted away.

Next was New Years Eve. Not my favorite holiday, but this year was really great. Turns out there was a fundraiser for Adam Herold, a classmate at St. Cecilia's who was killed in Iraq in 2007. Molly Maguire, Liz Winkler and I had a mini- St. C's reunion at Barrett's. It was great to finally meet up with Molly's beau Adam, who as luck would have it used to play soccer with my brother Joe, and I remember the soccer carpool fondly. The "best" time was when we were in middle of nowhere NE at a tournament and had to clean the goalies' jersey by hanging it out of our car window and driving around town. The car reeked like Icy-Hot. It's awesome to know that now Adam is dating one of my oldest and dearest friends :)

Last year at this time

We were throwing Rachy a wedding shower for her Florida wedding. I was cleaning out my computer files and came upon these photos of the invitations I made... and my old cute DC room :)

A Very Merry Christmas!

Christmas Snow Storm!
We have never cancelled Christmas, but this year with 15 inch snow drifts, we just had to. So, as dad snow-blowed the driveway, we took Heidi for a walk and tried to burn off some of the pounds of toffee we consumed.
